Dr. Coonce earned his undergraduate chemistry degree from Tennessee Tech University and his medical degree from the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He completed his internship at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga and his residency at the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences in Memphis. He also served as a Captain in the US Army. He joined Putnam Radiology in 1982 and is a founder of Premier Diagnostic Imaging.
